Delta3D 2.0.0 Released! Friday, February 15 2008 @ 04:14 PM EST MONTEREY, Calif. -- The Delta3D Development Team released today Version 2.0.0 of the Delta3D Open Source Game Engine. The release is a large refactor of the internal architecture to support the latest versions of the Delta3D External Dependencies. Version 2.0.0 also includes numerous bug fixes, utility enhancements, and new character animation functionality. While this version is not completely backward compatible with previous versions, many of the build-breaking changes have been documented, providing a straightforward upgrade of existing source code. Support for Visual Studio 2005 is now officially provided as well as a build system for other platforms including Linux and Mac OS. Users are invited to contribute to the recently formed Wiki site which contains tips and new tutorials on using the Delta3D Engine. The Wiki can be accessed at http://delta3d.wiki.sourceforge.net/. The version 2.0.0 release can be downloaded from http://delta3d.org, under the “Downloads” section. For a detailed list of changes, see the Change log.
