  • About Us

A short description of who maintains VResources.org and what is the goals set for this web site.

VResources, not just a website... a community

VResources is a community web site. We have taken great care so that the end-users can easily interact with the content of this site to enhance it, add to it and correct it. Think of VResources as a Wiki-like site but with a much improved peer-reviewing mechanism. To contribute on this site, all you need to do is to register a free account and log-in. As a registered user, you will be granted additional rights which allow you to edit or create new content. As you browse through pages of this site while logged-in, you will notice additional navigation tabs such as "View", "Edit" and sometimes "Revisions".

  • The view tab is just that, it allows you to see the content as a normal user would.
  • The edit tab will allow you to change the content using s Wysiwyg web editor interface. Once you submit your new version of the document, it will be put in a queue for approval by editors or administrators of this web site. This means that you will not see your modification go online at first. It may take some days before your modifications are put online and become visible to all. Modifications can also be rejected based on the peer-review process. You may or may not receive a notification of the decision taken.
  • Finally, the revisions tab allow you to see all past and current versions of a document. If you just submitted a new version, you will be able to see it there, even if it is not online yet.

Besides being able to edit pages as you browse through them, you can also use the "submit content" link on the main left menu bar. This section will provide you additional options to post:

  • News
  • Events and conference calls
  • New links to be added to our database

The same peer-reviewing process applies to these types of content submission to ensure that the content of VResources respects our high standards of quality.
